Benchtop PIM Test Analyzers From Kaelus

Effects of PIM

Passive Intermodulation (PIM) occurs when multiple RF signals encounter
defects in materials or workmanship in an RF path. These defects act like a mixer
causing noise to be generated at mathematical intervals of the carrier frequency.
As a result PIM interference could fall in the receive band of the wireless system
and elevate the noise floor, which will result in high dropped call rates, call
blocking, slow data transmission rates and decreased system capacity.

Kaelus introduced the first commercial PIM testing analyzer in 1996, and they
continue to lead the industry in Passive Intermodulation test solutions. From the
initial design and prototype phases through to high-volume manufacturing,
Kaelus PIM test solutions will allow equipment manufacturers the ability to
quickly and confidently verify performance of their products.
